The first few pictures were taken from the roof of our building so that you can see the mountains outside Santiago and so that you can see what part of our city looks like. Then there are a few pictures of our apartment building. We live on the second floor on the right hand side with the pretty orange awning. We have a wonderful little balcony where we sit to eat our breakfast and supper since we don't have a kitchen table yet.

Dear Neighbor,
I was reading my own blog (lakecadotte.blogspot.com) when I hit the "Next Blog" button and here you are. Say this place looks rather familiar. I wonder if these folks who appear to be missionaries are in the Dominican Republic? As I scroll down your entries, I see the one with DR in the title. Sure enough, you're on "my" lovely island. Many, many years ago I too lived in the DR in a small house with no glass in the windows, just wooden slats, in La Romana on the South coast. Those were some of the happiest times of my life and where I got pregnant - they say if you eat lots of bananas, you'll have a boy...I did. He just turned 26. I was not in missionary work, but was there with my husband who was the regional director of his company's facilities in the Zona Franca - Free Zone. I hope you enjoy your stay there as I did and appreciate the warm, wonderful people. Terri
Hi Brian and Amy,
Your blog is very interesting to read. The pictures are great for giving good mental pictures of what
your new surroundings look and sound like. I'm happy you are getting settled. It will be good to hear about your students and day in the life of your school.
Legacy is starting off a great 3rd year. The intermediate classes, IPOD, seems to generate new energy.
Thanks for sharing your life. It's evident that God if blessing your decision for the DR.
Praying for you,
Crys
