Twelve Miles for a Bear Hug

Tonight we rode on the new bike path all the way to Byron Center. There are some hills to conquer but the treat at the local ice-cream shop kept me going. Bear Hug ice-cream is wonderful: chocolate ice-cream, caramel swirls and chocolate-covered cashews. Now you know why I kept pedaling!

A Shot in the Arm (or two or three)

We spent part of the afternoon figuring out what immunizations we need to get before our departure. We'll get our first vaccinations for hepatitis A and hepatitis B next week Tuesday. More shots and pills to follow...

Our Apartment

They found an apartment for us in the Dominican Republic. It has three bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms, a small kitchen and a tiny balcony. The apartment is on the third floor of the building. It's across the street from a missionary family that sends their daughter to our school. It's also near a grocery store and a gym. We were glad to hear that it gets a good breeze!

Wedding

We had a great weekend in Chicago attending Andrea and Dustin's wedding. The ceremony was at Fourth Presbyterian Church and the reception was at the W hotel.
